Way-Too-Early Top 12 in Fantasy Football for 2024

Sunday marked the final show of the Fantasy Fix for this year – year 6. Can you believe it?! At the open of the show on Sunday, Zac Blobner and I discussed the top 12 picks in 2024’s fantasy drafts. We are certainly not marrying ourselves to this by any means, but I think its a good guide to use as we begin to navigate the off-season and wrap our minds around what next year's draft could look like. Certain players will be forgotten, some overlooked, and some completely overhyped - that's why its important to start with a baseline, while we have these players and their performances fresh in our minds.

Here’s an estimate of what we came up with:

1.CMC

2.Tyreek Hill

3.Justin Jefferson

4.Ja’Marr Chase

5.CeeDee Lamb

6.Travis Etienne

7.AJ Brown

8.Kyren Williams

9.Jahmyr Gibbs

10.Bijan Robinson

11.Stefon Diggs

12.Amon-Ra St. Brown

Grand takeaways...

  • Wide receivers are starting to take over. We just see so much more consistency in their production than we see in running backs, and as the NFL leans more into the passing game, the star wideouts are separating themselves in fantasy.
  • The fact that Kyren Williams has cracked the top 12 means he has to be the fantasy MVP of 2023, right? Most people picked this guy up off the waiver wire, now he's one of the top backs in the league.
  • Josh Allen almost cracked the list as the lone QB in the top 12, but just couldn't get there because of the nature of the position. Too much value to be had later on. Taking a QB too early who doesn't live up to the billing can crater your team quick, just ask anyone who took Mahomes this year.
  • No TE's! The era of Kelce appears to be over and who knows, maybe he even retires. But his days of a first round pick in fantasy are over. Sam LaPorta looks good. Mark Andrews will be back. Bu those guys feel like end of 2, start of the 3rd type picks, even with the scarcity at the position.
  • Bijan Robinson hasn't delivered like someone who should be a top pick in fantasy, but I'm almost positive we'll get ourselves hyped on him all over again come 2024. See: drone highlights.
  • De'Von Achane almost cracked the list, but if Mostert doesn't go anywhere, both will hover around the 2nd round in fantasy.

I'm sure we're missing something, hit us up on Twitter with your thoughts!
