Poll: Is it more likely Franks is a flop or Francois is a star again?

FSU AND FLORIDA NAME THEIR QB'S

Both Feleipe Franks and Deondre Francois went to their respective schools with all the hype in the world. Franks with his size and athleticism and Francois with pure talent a coach can only dream of. Deondre backed up a bit of that hype in 2016, but got hurt in 2017 in week 1, and has faced a few off the field issues as well that lead to his job in 2018 being in question. Franks, on the other hand, was saddled with a bad coach in Jim McElwain in his first year as a starter (going 4-7) and never really developed.

Now we enter 2018. Both have been named starters @ Florida and Florida State and we're wondering what the range of outcomes are for these two talented QB's.

Francois could be a star again, like he was in 2016.

  • Yardage: 3,350. Total TD's: 25. Completion % of 58%. Finished with a 10-3 record.

Francois could be a flop and get into trouble off the field

  • While out with a patella tendon injury, was accused of domestic violence from his girlfriend, and was involved in an investigation of the selling of marijuana.

Franks could develop into at least a solid QB

  • Dan Mullen is a significant step up from Jim McElwain and comes in with a resume that supports turning QB's into stars. Mullen coached up Tim Tebow, Dak Prescott, and current Miss State QB - Nick Fitzgerald.

Franks could not improve a lick

  • It's possible that Franks just isn't all that good. Last year, he only threw for just over 1,400 yards, despite starting in 11 games.

What do you think will happen?

Let us not forget, Feleipe Franks can do this...

No one can say Francois can't take a hit...
